Requirements

Yoga Teacher Certification A recognized yoga teacher certification is required; senior-specialty training is strongly preferred.

Experience with Older Adults At least 1 year working with seniors in any capacity — yoga instruction, healthcare, activity programming, or personal caregiving.

CPR & First Aid Certified Current certification required before first class. We cover renewal costs for ongoing instructors.

Clear Background Check Required for all instructors due to the vulnerable populations we serve.

Bay Area Location Classes are in-person at Bay Area senior facilities. Reliable transportation required.

Patience, Warmth & Adaptability Working with seniors — especially those with cognitive challenges — requires genuine compassion, calm presence, and the flexibility to adapt on the fly.
